Every year the Commercial Point Community Men’s Club Foundation helps put together a festival for patrons to enjoy. This year they are celebrating their 91st year. The Commercial Point Homecoming Festival will be celebrated June 6 – 9, 2018. Commercial Point is located 10 miles south of Columbus. It’s just a hop skip and a jump for some of us. Not only will this festival have great food but free entertainment, a car show, rides, and midway games. Fireworks happen on Friday night and a parade on Saturday morning. This parade will include all queens from various festivals around Ohio.
If that doesn’t sound good you can always enjoy some time in the Beer Garden. You heard me right folks, a Beer Garden. Who doesn’t like hanging out and listening to good music while having a drink? Relax and enjoy your favorite adult beverage as you soak up some music from 7 Mile and Buckshot. Salty Six String, Adam Calvert, Stadium 11, and Turn It Up are three others you can look forward to seeing on the main stage.
Parking will be accessible at the Scioto Elementary School and the West Middle School. They even have golf cart shuttles to and from the fields where the festival is being held.
I’m sure many of you are excited about the car show. I know my husband is looking forward to drooling over the cars that I’m sure will be there. Come check it out and get your picture with your favorite. I know we plan on doing just that.
Rides and Games are sure to be a favorite amongst the kids. I am betting there will be favorites for us big kids as well.
There is sure to be a crowd with all the great things for us to enjoy. Thousands of people attend every year. The numbers are much higher on the weekend. That you can be sure of. This writer is looking forward to enjoying the festival since it will be my first time attending.
