The Circleville Online media network, of which The Circleville Guide is a part of, has launched a new community initiative around local food. The group, called Good Eats Circleville/Pickaway aims to connect local residents, workers and visitors together to share experiences and meals through reviews and photos with others in the community, all while promoting eating local.
Though much of the group’s focus is on restaurants and farm markets, all food and drink is discussed. This new community covers not only Circleville, but also Ashville, Commercial Point, Logan Elm Village, New Holland, Orient, South Bloomfield, Williamsport and everywhere near and in between.
Good Eats has already given away gift cards, produce and other treats to members of the group and is looking forward to partnering with many local business in the near future. The goal is to offer frequent giveaways, discounts and deals to the members of the group in order to promote eating at the local businesses. In addition to promoting current businesses, Good Eats is planning to launch advocacy efforts aimed at bringing in new food options to the County. It will be announced in the coming months how those efforts will be conducted.
In less than two weeks ago Good Eats Circleville/Pickaway was launched on Facebook. It now has a network of around 600 members making it one of the fastest growing digital communities in Pickaway County. To join, go to Good Eats Circleville/Pickaway. It is free to join!
