Scheduled this year are 7 Mile Bluegrass, Travis Brown and The Drifters, and Phil Dirt and the Dozers; each band has a unique style of music so there will be something for everyone from bluegrass and country to the nostalgic covers of many well-known bands like The Beach Boys and the Eagles.
Based out of Frankfort, Ohio is 7 Mile Bluegrass. (Facebook – BlueGrassOnly) According to their Facebook page, the band initially began in 2007 when three buddies wanted to just play some bluegrass. They have now evolved into a 6 member band with a banjo, mandolin, upright bass, and singers. They have a busy year ahead. In addition to performing at Dam Days, they will be performing at the Commercial Point Homecoming Festival, Sunflower Festival, Apple Festival, and The Pumpkin Show. Travis Brown and The Drifters are a nostalgic throwback to some country greats like Willie to Hank to Waylon, and they will be performing at Dam Days on Friday June 1st. They describe themselves as a classic and outlaw country band that’s immersed in a style of country music that defined the genre. In today’s age of music, they are a refreshing sound of years gone by with genuine heart and soul to their sound. Their four member country band includes guitar, drums, vocals, and steel guitar. Phil Dirt and the Dozers is one of the most popular vintage rock and roll bands in the nation with a huge following, especially here in Central Ohio, seeing as they are based out of Columbus! Phil Dirt & The Dozers has relished success for nearly 30 years from coast to coast.
