At tonight’s Circleville City Council meeting, local resident Brenna Gibson, will introduce a program that aims to bring large flower planters to the City’s center. Initially, the plan is to install four planters at the corner of Court and Main Streets. The the long-term goal of the program is to expand it throughout uptown Circleville.
Area businesses will fund the beautification project, with the The Savings Bank sponsoring the first set. The cost of the plants, including maintenance, will also be covered by local businesses and managed by Uptown Circleville. Gibson said, “There are basket holders at Court and Main, but, they’re so high up, nobody can reach them. These ground level planters will be much easier to fill and maintain.”
