In what is perhaps the greatest sports dynasty in Pickaway County history, the Lady Viking Softball team will be playing today in the OHSAA Division I State Semifinals. This is the team’s third trip to the Final Four in the last four years with a State title coming in 2015 and a Runner-up placement in 2016. The Vikings also made a Final Four appearance in 2004, but failed to make it to the Finals.

Tonight, #10 Teays Valley (24-3), the Columbus Regional Champions, will face off against Akron Regional Champions, #8 Perry High School (23-4), from Massillon, Ohio, at 5:30 p.m., at Firestone Stadium in Akron, Ohio. The winner of the Teays Valley-Perry match-up will go on to play the winner of #2 Perrysburg (29-2) and #6 Lakota West , which is the 3 p.m. game.
